one I-485 app but separate LC and or I-140

Hi,
Is it possible that my wife starts her GC process by applying LC, while I have reached to I-485 stage. I am on hold on this stage because of some problems and don't know how long. My wife is on H1 and if she starts her GC with applying LC, will it affect any way to my processing, because if I go ahead, then I will put her on my I-485 application.

In general, is there any problem if husband/wife start GC separately and then they want to be on one I-485 application and stop the other, whose ever this stage comes first?

If your wife's name is not included on your 485 application , it should not matter , but if she is INS clearly states that the person can have only one AOS or 485 application pending.
