  • Outside of normal processing time and this what I keep getting from Uscis

Can someone please advice me on what to do next my application has been with Uscis for 25months, and the second time I contacted. I got same below response, I can involve a lawyer now ? Or is too late. What We Have Done
USCIS has reviewed your Service Request. According to USCIS records, we are unable to move forward with your application until the required background checks have been completed. At this time, we are unable to determine when the adjudication of your case will be completed and no further action is required from you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing.

    What You Can Do
In the interim, please remember to renew your employment authorization documents and travel documents within 3-4 months of the expiration date.USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration applications in a timely manner, efficiently and in the order received. We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.

Hello, I got the same answer yesterday for an inquiry on i-485.
I'm still waiting on a decision for marriage-based AOS interview that happened on July 12, 2019. I'm not going to stress about this anymore. I am going to live my life and enjoy my youth lol
USCIS is screwing us big time, and for nothing.

Thanks Maria, but I’m not sure if getting a lawyer involved at this time is the best option or I just have to wait till they get back to us.

I went and saw a lawyer in March of this year. He was trying to scare me, to portray all these gray scenarios. His advice was to withdraw the application (like, really?!!? Why?) Worst spent $80 of my life.
I don't think they can help you with much, at this stage. I also talked to another lawyer and it's basically a waiting game.
You can try contacting your Ombudsman.

At least knowing that I’m not alone, that give me a sense of relief.” Would just keep praying that whoever that has my file God should pls speak to him/her heart on my behalf to remember my file... and do something.

I think you should contact your congressperson and/or senator. 25 months is long time. In the mean time, you are probably eligible for a 10 year green card by now.
shake the tree. Reach out to your US senator. They’re very good at shaking the tree.
