This will have no impact on the current budget shortfall. The $1.2b is needed now NOT in October.

[...] You may request expeditious processing again once we have received your biometrics.", and my case status changed to "expedite request denied".
If you can present a compelling case to your congressman/congresswoman or senator, they can reach out to USCIS on your behalf. Have a look at their website: There should be a section about assistance with federal agencies. In my case, USCIS called me a day later with a biometrics appointment. Good luck!

ciculove I basically wrote them a letter, explaining my case and why I needed to expedite my form I-765, and that I had tried the "regular" way but was denied due to missing biometrics. I also attached documents to support everything I said in the letter. I think they then reached out to USCIS through their own channels. One day later, USCIS called me saying they needed to capture my biometrics first in order to process the expedite request, and set up an appointment for me.
Interestingly, they said they couldn't set up an appointment at an Application Support Center because those centers were currently only processing those people whose biometrics appointments had been canceled due to Covid. I had my appointment at a local USCIS field office and they captured my biometrics there.

Can I ask what evidence did you submit to the Congressman? From my congressman’s website it felt like he wanted only a letter and receipt numbers.Currently on F1 OPT - Married to USC - Concurrent filing.
