  • Evidence of Hardship for removal of status or replacement greencard.

I recently applied for replacement greencard using form I-912 (request for fee waiver). It was returned due to lack of evidence of hardship. Does anyone know what evidence I can provide and how to get the evidence?

    I have no job.
    No money in bank.
    I have rent to pay.

All of the above is being subsidized by a family member back in the UK.

USCIS has my ssn: and A number so I'm sure they have access to check if I am working etc.

I am trying to understand your case. Did you apply for I-90 Replace Permanent Resident Card? If so the fee is $455; which you applied for using a fee waiver?
Well whether or not USCIS has your SSN the burden is on you to provide the tangible evidence in paper form so that they can attach to your file and review to make their final decision. So I would provide a SSN print out of unemployment. Additionally, I would submit bank statements showing zero balance in the account for the last 6months -1 year. I would also submit eviction notices( if any), past due electric, water, phone bills (if any), owed school fees (if any). I would also submit a letter (signed by notary) from the family member in UK that he or she is substituting your income and how much is given and how often. That letter may also work against you as that is still proof of an income of some sorts.

Also send your monthly expenses budget like an account page set up that includes your expenditures and your earnings and your inability to cover the expenditures with the limited or no earnings. If you have groceries from a local store that you are unable to pay for and the owner gives you a tab, also use a copy of the tab. If you have a vehicle but your fuel tank level is at 0 then show pictures of that along with images of your entire vehicle and registration/insurance details showing you as the owner/user.

Also under what condition, did you obtain your permanent resident card? Spouse or employment? If spouse then show evidence that he or she is also unemployed, no money in bank, etc
If through employment send your termination letter or some proof that your employer cannot and has not paid you any wages for x amount of time.

Since you applied for I-90 replace permanent resident card, it means that your resident (green) card was misplaced, lost or stolen? So provide a timeline of when it was misplaced, lost, or stolen and how that affected you getting or holding a job and thus the loss of an income.

    All the best.
