Interview done no response!

Hello All, I have completed my i-485 for over 7months now At the new york field office and up till now I haven’t received an update from them, I haven’t heard anything atall from them...Does it take that long to get a response after a completed interview?? Am worried!!!

The response time after an interview varies greatly and for different reasons. Several applicants, like myself, have got on the spot approval with the card production beginning moments after the interview. However delay is not always danger. Keep checking your online status and call their number as often as you can. Hopefully, you had no RFEs, as that can delay overall process. Also were the final comments from the interviewer favorable? If so that might indicate that your case will be processed. In general they can take 3-8 months to respond after an interview, others are unfortunately much longer while others can be less. Hopefully the outcome after the wait, will be positive. All the best.

Hello Grace, thanks for your reaponse I really appreciate it, However I have called a few times they kept saying the samething, My interview was smooth and okay, lady told us to expect a response in the mail, i have traveled internationally couple times with my Ead/AP card successfully without any issues, renewed EAD Twice, just submitted the third ead renewal application June 3rd up till now I haven’t received a notice letter confirming they received the application, am not sure but I guess i have to keep waiting like they said and I actually think coronavirus might be one of the delay.

When we reapplied for our EAD while waiting on the interview the rushed the process and we got the interview instead. Maybe your third application will provoke them to respond sooner.
