              • This is such a joke. I finally got a call from a tier 2 officer as I wanted to expedite my ead and the female is telling me that you can’t expedite an ead until your i130 is approved. This is obviously wrong so I argued with her and then she eventually transferred me to her manager when I asked to be transferred. Her manager then said that she misspoke and didn’t know and that I can expedite an ead without an approved i130. But then he said since I don’t have biometrics they cannot expedite my ead. This is such a joke. They’ve created a chicken and egg situation with ead and biometrics. I have a job idea with a deadline to join by 7th dec from a company that’s been assigned by the White House coronavirus task force to distribute Covid vaccine to all Americans. If this is not in National interest then what is. I’m so done with uscis.

If you have a concern, you can talk to person taking your Bio. She/he can fix it in the system. For instance, I switch my last and my first name in my I-765 application she was able to fix it for me. It is such a pain to talk to USCIS and ask them for correction/clarification after receiving a Bio. Just go get your bio and address your concerns with that person.
                  05/08/20: I-485, I-765, I-131, I-944 sent to USCIS

                  06/03 Rejected again-same reason
                  06/13 Resubmitted with I-864
07/07 Lockbox emailed back and ask to resubmit
07/09 Filings accepted with PD 05/08/20 (nice)
08/06 Prior biometrics applied to I485

He said that USCIS currently has about 1.3 million people waiting to be scheduled for biometrics, therefore the service centers that take the biometrics are overwhelmed and that unfortunately there's nothing they can do but to schedule people from March-April-May first. He said that if I filed in June more likely I will get biometrics by the end of January.

I guess it depends on the location but if you look at most people timeline, it should have not taken that long. But again COVID changes everything for everyone.

                          • Finished my interview today, it went really well. The IO took me into the room before my wife and kids says this was due to covid. She asked me the routine questions and asked for the original documents for birth paper, marriage certificate etc. Also asked for joint evidence, i gave her bank statement, insurance, 401k and some pictures from years back to recent, i love taking pictures so i have pictures of me and my wife from we lived in jamaica. she then sent for my wife and kids because there was some confusion , cause the IO thought my wife was not the mother of my kids , which she is. When i told her, she then informed me that my kids were already us citizens and didnt need to go through green card process. I didnt know this and could have saved a lot of time and money if i did. After asking the yes or no question this is the part i dont fully understand.

I think the interview went extremely well. No hiccups everything provided, she even offered information on how we can get our kids citizenship because she said they may be denied the green card since they are already citizens. Then she turn to me and said she is still waiting on more documents to come in for me so she can make a decision. She told me not to worry but i was not given any paper or anything. Just told to wait. is that normal?

I really doubt if anyone on this thread can say for sure if that is normal or not. Most of us are still waiting biometrics appointment let alone an interview.

But just curious, you didn’t even get EAD/AP card? Direct interview?
