    • Case status updated to show fingerprints were taken on form I485 and I765

I also did an expedite request but I think I messed up the request. The agent wasn’t very helpful and the situation is as follows.

I told the agent that I have a job offer and they want me to start on Jan 11th and she said ok but i need to categorize the expedite request. I wasn’t sure what category was my request so I selected the one that says the US government will benefit (paying taxes was the idea in my mind).

any other had a similar experience? Do i need to choose a different category?

I completely agree with you, the frustrating thing is they ask you to wait for 30 days (even some agents say 30 business days!) for nothing (in my case not even a general response). I've waited though so that I have a more compelling case when I contact the Ombudsman next week.

I live in Miami, so the field office here I guess. Do you mind sharing yours?

My field office is in Tustin, CA. When I went on Reddit, it seems like a lot of people are talking about not receiving biometrics appointments from my field office. Maybe you can look up your field office on Reddit and see if there're other people talking about it. But still...so tired of waiting. Do you know how can I talk to Ombudsman? I have no experience of that.

Thanks, yes my employer filed premium processing. I think you are doing the same of what I did: file family based first and then file I-140.
My employer's legal team (who is handling the case) told me they requested USCIS to link the I-140 to the already submitted materials (I-485, I-693, etc.) so I don't have to do anything else apparently.

it says one of the issues the office can assist with is USCIS's failure to schedule a bio appointment so it's worth a try...

what was your reasoning for expediated request?
i'm in a similar situation and might loose my job in case I cannot produce a valid work permit.
