      • Hi guys, my case status just changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview". When do you suggest that I do my i693 health exam? Since I don't know if it takes 5 months or 1 year to get interview scheduled, and i don't want my i693 to get expired during the wait. Thank you!

In the "old days" pre-COVID, people would do the health exam right after the interview got scheduled (usually with a month notice). That is now a bit riskier as a lot of civil surgeons are not seeing people during COVID. I'd probably try to do it ASAP if I were you.

I-765 now shows as "My Card was Mailed to Me"

Yes, it's valid for 2 years as per below, it's on the Instructions for Form I-693. I sent mine with the original application.

                            6. Submit your completed Form I-693 in the sealed envelope to USCIS. Please see our website at www.uscis.gov/I-693. The Form I-693 must be dated no earlier than 60 days before you filed your underlying application. A properly and timely completed Form I-693 remains valid for two years from the date of the civil surgeon’s signature.

                              Thank you so much!

That is correct that it is valid for 2 years but you need to send it within a period of time (I believe 60 days) after the civil surgeon has signed the papers. So if you can do the exam and send it to them it doesn't matter if they need to hold on to it for a long time until they approve your case because it will not expire for 2 years. Just double check this detail about when USCIS needs to receive the papers.
