Expiring i765 with pending i485

I’ve already gotten a 6 months notice from my employer about my working permit about to expire. Has anyone been in this situation? Also, is there a fee to renew my i765 because I am still pending on the i485. The USCIS office I go to is is Tampa, FL.

It's free. As long as you file the I-765 before your EAD expires, the I-765 receipt plus the expired EAD will allow you to work until 180 days after your EAD expires. You should apply for renewal now (you can file up to 180 days before expiration) to allow ample time to get the new EAD. There are long delays now.
