  • I-485 Request Service Number (Three Last Alphabet Meaning)

    Hi,

I have raised a service request for my self's and wife's I-485 application, since it has been 60 days from the time we have submitted our RFIE response (medical exam) to National Benefit Center (NBC) and I have received two numbers which their format is as below:

    Me: SR YYYY YYYY ZZZMSC
    Wife: SR YYYY YYYY ZZZLOS

Does anybody knows what is the meaning of the last three characters ('MSC' & 'LOS')?

    Thank you very much.

Probably indicates the service center where the case is being processed.
MSC – Missouri Service Center (now known as National Benefits Center)
LOS - I'm guessing it is Los Angeles...
USC filed AOS for parents on B2. I am not a lawyer.

Was it a RFE or RFIE for medical? and did they come from somewhere in Missouri?
When you say 60 days, I guess you responded to it sometime in May.
May I know when you filed your I485?

        Hi,

        It was an RFIE. Yes.
        Yes.
        In Nov 2019.

You may raise a service request.
