  • Change of Address, while waiting for interview notice

I am looking for some advice:

We are waiting for our AOS interview schedule now, since March 19th.
Our interview was scheduled for March 19th and cancelled on March 18th.

We live in Savannah, GA and our field office is Charleston SC.

I may need to relocate early Sept in Louisiana.
I do not want to jeopardize delaying our case further, by updating my address to a different state and having the application be sent back to National Center.
I know its one step away and probably sitting on an officer's to-do list.

    What are our options?

Hello - our case is similar but not exactly the same. We also filed in November and originally had our interview scheduled for Mar 17. On Mar 16 we received a phone call that our interview was cancelled and would be rescheduled, that we would receive another letter with a new date. We have checked the USCIS web-site on our cases weekly. Last Friday (July 17) we called and spoke with a person. She told us the same - that they would be sending us a letter when the interview has been rescheduled. This evening we checked USCIS web-site and it says we missed the interview on July 21! I would recommend checking the website daily or multiple times daily for updates; and I would recommend calling them daily as well. I can only guess that because we were the last ones scheduled for an interview before the they were stopped, we were first in line - and a computer problem gave us no advance notice. I half-way expect to receive a letter in the next day or two informing us of the scheduled interview! We posted separately asking if anyone else has had this sort of issue. We're eager to hear what happens with yours.
