  • RFE for not writing None or N/A?

Has anyone received an RFE or rejection for not writing None or N/A in case a question doesn’t apply to you on any of the AOS forms? USCIS form filing tips do mention that this should be done, and I don’t think I followed this very well throughout the forms. Just wondering how big of a deal it is - whether they might issue RFE/rejection for this or perhaps something that can be squared away during final interview before beneficiary signs in front of the immigration officer?
USC filed AOS for parents on B2. I am not a lawyer.

By leaving them blank you have technically not answered the question. There’s a very good possibility that your application will be rejected if you left every question that didn’t apply to you blank.

      Okay...
I’m pretty sure I answered all the questions - however in some of the places where there is space for providing additional names, addresses etc. I left them blank instead of writing N/A etc.

I guess all I can do is wait to hear back.

Yeah. At the end of the day it’s not such a big deal. If they do reject it, all you’ll have to do is correct the mistake and send it back. Don’t sweat over it.

I think you will be fine. I filed for spouse and our 2 kids and did it all myself and i never wrote NA or anything, i.e. left unapplicable fields blanc (never knew the rules) and they accepted the forms. My guess is that if the overall quality is otherwise good they are happy.

It can be intimidating to get an RFE stating that "None" or "N/A" should not be used, but I was able to navigate it with the help of a trustworthy source. I also want to recommend a most stylish outfit who stand out your look in this modern era try this
