No biometrics yet (my ASC also opened 7/27). But the good news is I've just had EAD and travel doc approved for family-based petition. Your PD is about the same as mine, so hopefully you'll receive similar good news soon, with or without biometric appointment.

aph I didn't expedite. My timeline is about the same as caunck909's, so I waited almost exactly 5 months from the date the application was received, about 160 days plus or minus a few. That's within the timeline I expected - 4-6 months.

I feared that I would have to wait for the biometrics, then wait longer again. But I'm guessing that USCIS doesn't want the delay with biometrics to be a bottleneck. I think they are just working through the applications along the normal timeline, chronologically, and it looks like they are approving at least some of the cases even if biometrics have not been taken. I had heard this was happening for people who have employment-based AOS, but mine is family-based.

Hi, are you doing ASO for F2B/F2A?

              UPDATE:

I-765 for EAD is approved as of 07/24/2020.
I should receive the approval letter soon in the mail according to USCIS.

I called USCIS today just to make sure that the mail is not lost in case they've already sent it.
Thank God that I called. USCIS officer told me that the biometrics appointement is rescheduled on 08/03/2020 and the letter was sent to my lawyer on 07/18/2020. I called my lawyer's office and they confirmed that they received it today. There is one issue though which is USCIS picked the location of ASC closer to my lawyer's office in Los Angeles, CA... I live in Nashville, TN. My lawyer advised that I just visit ASC in Nashville with the appointment letter and my ID and I should be ok to do biometrics. As soon as I receive the letter from my lawyer, I will try to visit the nearest ASC from me and post an update.

Mine is family based as well & I feel your fear. My original biometric appointment date was 3/20/2020 just two days before they shut down due to covid-19. I was checking any news regarding USCIS reopening date every single day since then.

Also USCIS officer I spoke today told me that EAD doesn't require biometrics in order to be approved. I thought that's strange but it seems true as there are some people already got approval for EAD prior to biometrics.

Thank you! I'm on the same boat. Did you have biometric on file before? Or they never take your Biometric? Also, what is your Office/Field Office? Thanks so much!

Biometric is waived for me. Just received the notice that USCIS will be able to use my previous Biometric (I had done 5 previously cause I am on TPS). I expect to waive my interview as well given the fact I am F3 and DNA was taken for me and my Dad.
                          05/08/20: I-485, I-765, I-131, I-944 sent to USCIS
05/13 Rejected due to lack of I-864
                          05/27 resubmitted with explanation
                          06/03 Rejected again-same reason
                          06/13 Resubmitted with I-864
07/07 Lockbox emailed back and ask to resubmit
07/09 Filings accepted with PD 05/08/20 (nice)
08/06 Prior biometrics applied to I485
08/28 Took biometrics for I-765 only
                          09/28 I-765's Cards Ordered
                          10/02 EAD/AP received
                          04/12 Interview Sched
05/11 Interview done approval on the spot but no USCIS update online

I think it's worth asking to expedite at this stage. Have you done biometrics for USCIS before? They already had mine from my previous visa application, so that probably helped me.

My biometrics were on file before from a previous visa. My application is being processed by National Benefits Center. Local office is St. Louis, MO.
