I have never been arrested, detained, charged or anything of that sort. I have had no run-ins with police. Do I still need to submit some sort of clearance certificate that I have no records?

Per the guidelines of USCIS, unless I’m mistaken, you should only submit police records if you’ve been arrested and/or had an encounter with the law of such nature. So unless applicable, I don’t think you should provide any police records - I’m not a lawyer, this is just my 5 cents.Mar/25 => Application sent to Chicago lockbox

Thanks, that makes sense. To be honest, USCIS instructions are pretty clear. I just hope they would add one more line at the bottom, something like "If none of the above cases apply to you, you don't need to submit this".

In all likelihood, you will have problems related to not reporting these kind of infractions if they were criminal or something serious. Minor things like speeding tickets should not cause a problem. For what it’s worth, I have had a speeding ticket for which I did traffic school, but it was not mentioned on my citizenship application, and that did not cause a problem with my naturalization. Hope this helps.USC filed AOS for parents on B2. I am not a lawyer.
