  • Safe to Travel?

Sorry to ask this question guys. I just wanted to be sure. So i'm planning to leave the country in the next couple weeks. I have my combo card EAD/AP but i also received my green card on January this year. But there was a mistake made on the green card . instead of putting residence since 01/07/2020 they put 01/07/2019 and expires on 01/07/2021. So i submitted I-90 and send in the original green card and have not received a new one yet as of today. The only reason why i'm not sure about travelling outside the country is because when i tried renewing my drivers license on June they gave me a hard time. They told me I need my original green card (i made an copy of my green card) and i asked if i can just renew license using my EAD/AP card. they said no because i
m a residence i need my green card.
Anyone have some input that could probably set my mind to ease?
    Thank you

Your EAD and AP are expired now as you have been issued a green card. Ideally, you need the new green card to travel.

you might want to call them and confirm if you can travel based on the following:

    See this page:https://www.uscis.gov/i-90

If you need evidence of your lawful permanent resident status while waiting to receive a replacement Green Card, we may issue you an Alien Documentation, Identification & Telecommunications (ADIT) stamp after you file this form.

As a lawful permanent resident, you must have a valid, unexpired Permanent Resident Card or equivalent document with you at all times. Applying for naturalization does not change this requirement.
USC filed AOS for parents on B2. I am not a lawyer.
