  • National Benefits Center?

My AOS package was filed by my lawyer on July 22nd 2020 - almost 3 weeks ago.
My online case status says that my fingerprint fee was received and that my case is being handled at the National Benefits Center.
Does anyone have any insight if this is a good thing or a bad thing?

In the past for my non-immigrant visas all my cases were handled either at Potomac or Vermont. So I’m not familiar with the National Benefits Center. There isn’t much info about it online so I figured I’d ask here.

Just for reference I am a Canadian citizen who is presently in the US. I married my USC wife here in Charlotte NC in March 2020.

The National Benefits Center is where all Adjustment of Status cases are adjudicated, so your file is in the right place. You will receive a biometrics appointment soon

Mine is adjustment of status through marriage, and my application is as well at that location. It's all good, we are in good hands!
