If you have AP, there is no need for a visa or to check for it.
AP serves as authorization to board a plane, arrive at the port and seek entry as a "parolee"

So what did you have to do to prove your were exempt from the entry ban? I’m traveling next week on L-1 so taking marriage certificate showing marriage to US citizen. Assume that will be sufficient...

Remember that unless you fall under one of the exceptions to the country bans (e.g. spouses of US citizens or permanent residents), you cannot re-enter the US if you have been to Mainland China, Iran, the Schengen Area, the UK, Ireland, or Brazil in the previous 14 days.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

AP is exempt-it is stated in the EO. I had my marriage certificate with me.

We arrived at Chicago airport and there was just one line for everyone.

There is no exemption for people with AP from the country bans. You may be thinking of the immigrant visa ban which is a different thing.

Maybe I got it wrong. But I recently traveled to the Schengen (where I spent a month) and back with AP with no issues.

As I mentioned in another thread, that is because you are the spouse of a permanent resident, so you are exempt from the country bans.
