  • Can i bring my child to a biometric (ASC) appointment ??

Hi all. Need some advice. Can I bring my 3-year-old to my biometric appointment at an ASC?? Do they allow it? The appointment letter says no one else should accompany me. Any one here has any experience bringing a (non-applicant) child to a biometric appointment? Thank you !!

If you don’t have alternative care arrangement, I don’t see a reason they will deny you. I haven’t done it though, so best to research a bit more on this.
USC filed AOS for parents on B2. I am not a lawyer.

I called USCIS about bringing a child and they mentioned that they don’t allow family members due to Covid restrictions. Maybe if you go there with the child they will allow you in, I don’t really know

        Thanks Gcapplicant2019 , verbose

(BTW, 'Tier 1' rep at USCIS could not answer this question and I was told no 'Tier 2' support today; so I will have to call again to get through to Tier2.)

Can anyone else please chime in?

I see - best to get it confirmed directly from Tier 2 then. Though I do expect they should accommodate those who don’t have an option but to bring the kid along.

We took our 10 year old to our appointment though he was not part of the biometrics (US citizen). No one even asked about him. He just sat there reading a book.

Not sure if Corona virus has changed the situation though.

Was the child accompanying or there for the purpose of biometrics too?

Hard to say, but my guess is that the child was just accompanying.
