  • Hartford Field Office Interviews I-485

Hello, I received notice that my wife’s case is ready to be scheduled for an interview for her I-485 on October 28th 2019. My local field office is in Hartford, CT. Haven’t heard anything more since then and it’s freaking me out that the USCIS website says that processing times could be up to 36 months for the field offices. Does anyone have any recent experience with a timeline for the Hartford office to actually schedule the interview? I can’t fathom my wife not being able to see her family for another two years! Hoping to get some kind of idea on how long it’s actually taking to get an interview appointment. Thank you!

Hi jbk0622, I'm in the same boat, would love to find out how long it takes for folks to actually get an appointment. My filed office is also Hartford, CT and my I-485 was submitted in March 2020. Did your wife apply for advanced parole (I-131)? Mine is still pending but I am hoping to travel with it once it's approved.

One thought I had was that whatever timeline we hear now might now be informative for the timeline going forward, given that COVID and potential USCIS furloughs might delay things quite a bit.

Hi, I’ve been ready for interview to be scheduled since 11/2019 and I haven’t heard anything yet either. I received the courtesy letter for I-693 because I did not submit one with my application back in December and that’s last I heard on the I-485.

I applied for the I-131 in April and it was approved in June and he has his EAD. We haven’t used the AP as yet because we’re a little nervous but if all else fails we may go ahead and use it because my husband hasn’t seen his son in a while and it’s mentally and emotionally taking a toll.
