  • Traveling home with AP and pending asylum case

    Hi guys,

Does anyone have experience traveling to their home country with pending asylum case? I am married to USC, so I have two active cases with USCIS.
I understand it is better not to travel before getting GC, but have not seen my family for 3 years and just got advance parole and it is tempting.

Will it make a huge trouble to my GC process?

Would love to read about your experiences.
    Thanks

You're under an asylum case but you want to return to your country..., that does not make any sence

My lawyer told me Advance parole(i-131) is just the approval for reentry but there are more things they see other than reentry permit. So, he said it is better to dont travel on advance parole.

If your asylum was based on persecution / other issues related to your home country, you should not travel there. If you really want to meet your family, do so in a third country.
Traveling to a country from which you fled only means your asylum case is subject to scrutiny and could be construed as fraud.
            Don't do it !
