Hi y’all! So I finally received my EAD card (marriage based), called DMV to get new drivers license, they said before I do that I need to get new social security card (I got one when I came here on J-1 visa years ago, and need to change my name on it due to marriage). Anyways then I called local social security office, they said they suspended all in person services and everything gets done via mail. Which is fine BUT they don’t take copies, you have to mail in an original passport, marriage certificate and EAD card. I get sick to my stomach thinking about mailing 3 of the most important documents I have to my name. Has any of y’all done it safely and got your documents back and everything went well?
