AOS For and F1 student

Hello,
I am an F1 student and i got married to my gf a couple of months ago. We have been together since 2007 while we were in HS. We filled every necessary document in May 2010. Since we are both full time students, we don't work. My uncle is making much money that he is my sponsor. We just received a mail from the USCIS requesting my wife to send her I 864 (which we didn't send since she wasn't working) and consequently she didnt file her taxes. My questions are:
1) Can my uncle sponsor both of us? or we need another seperate sponsor.
2) What can we do about this?
I have already taken my fingerprints and the USCIS said they can't proceed with our case until we send the requested documents.
Help please.

you should talk to your immigration attorney. i have heard of cases where the officer definitely probes on how you are going to financially support marriages etc. i do not know how the sponsorship from relative works.
