  • US-Mexico Border Crossing with AP

    Hi everyone!
I tried to look for some information about it, but found nothing clear. Have anyone had any experience with using your EAD/AP combo card to cross the border to Mexico and then coming back? I would love to see my family for the weekend but as the terrestrial US-MX border is supposedly “closed” for tourists and open only for US citizens and Permanent Residents (due to COVID)... I’m kinda scared they would not let me come back to the US.
    Thanks!

The border restrictions only apply to land borders. You should have no problem returning to the US by air.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Thank you for your response. I’m actually asking for land travel, as I live in San Diego, CA and want to cross the land border to Tijuana, MX.

If I were you I will not travel until: a) they lift the restrictions or b) you get your GC. This is based on the information here.
