Questions regarding i485 under NIW EB2 self-petitioner

Hi community. I'm currently preparing my file so I can send the documents in before Oct.2nd(before all the fees go up!)
I have few questions below and it will be a lot of help if you could take a look at them and share what you know about them!


I have approved I-140 under EB2 self-petitioner and I have a wife who is filing i485 with me.


1. I have alien registration number(A-number) on my I-140 approval letter,
and I'm wondering if this number also applies to my wife.
If not, should she just leave blank on every a-number section? (I'm worried that the files would get lost)


2. For i-765(working permit), for eligibility category question (Part 2, number 27),
are we(me and my wife) C9 or C35 & C36?
-C9 is for Adjustment of Status applicant under section 245
-C35 & C36 is for beneficiary of approved employment-based immigrant petition facing compelling circumstance


3. This is the part I'm most confused about.
As a self-petitioned principal immigrant, I do not need to file i-864(affidavit of support).
But in case of my wife, do I need to be her sponsor and write i-864 for her?

Leave hers black. It won't get lost.

You both are C9. The all forms come with instructions so you can read this in the instructions as well.

She does not need I864. But you both need I944. This info is also available on the form instructions.
