October 2020 I1485 filers may join

After me and my family completed the biometrics, the status update online to not fingerprints were recorded for me and my wife. The status hasn't been updated for my son. Should I check with USCIS or is it common that the status is not updated for certain cases?

It is common, same situation from me too. Me and my family completed bio-metric in Apr-2020 but only my dependent status has changed to bio-metric done but mine is still showing case transferred to new office has jurisdiction. I called EMMA to update my status, also raised service ticket. Got call from USCIS and they told me not to worry, they know bio-metric was done and status not updated properly, but still status has not changed..

I485, I765, I131 receipt - Dec-2020
I1485 (self and dependents) transferred to Nebraska - Feb-2021 - Reason - Fast Processing
Bio-metric done - Apr-2021 - Status changed only for dependents
EAD Combo received - Aug-2021
Waiting for medical RFE

Thanks for your response. On a different topic, when was your I140 approved? I'm in EB1C as well and waiting for my I140 approval so just trying to understand how long it took for you to get approval for your 140. It's a shame that they don't support premium processing for EB1C cases.

Lawyer has received Form I 693 Medical Examination Reminder to send the USCIS Medical Exam for I 485 Adjustment of Status. Anyone in a similar situation for EB2 downgrade has received a similar reminder letter from USCIS? Should the USCIS medical exam be done at this time or later when the RFE will come as the I 140 for downgrade has not yet been processed? Anyone in a similar situation willing to provide a response?

Hi,

My PD is Jan 2013 and i downgraded from EB2 to EB3 with concurrent filing in Oct 2020. My I-485 status changed to fingerprint fee was received in Feb 2021 and no movement in any of the cases since. Last week I received biometric for my I-485 but there was no biometric appointment for my spouse. I checked with Emma and it says biometric is not yet scheduled for dependent. Anyone else on the same boat? Do I need to take any action?

I received Medical I-693 RFE on 09/07/2021 for my I-485 and responded to the RFE by submitting the sealed envelope with I-693 on 09/21/2021. But my case status still continues to say "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken". That has been the status since fingerprinting was done back in April 2021. The online status says nothing about RFE. Is that normal? I expected my online case status to say something about there being a RFE on my application, but it doesn't. Also how long would it take USCIS to adjudicate my case now that they have received my RFE response with the completed and sealed I-693? Should I expect that my I-485 would be adjudicated by end of Fiscal year 09/30/2021 or is that too ambitious? Philadelphia is my field office and I am an Indian national in EB3.

USCIS is basically asking you to do the medical exam and interfile.
Btw my I40 is in regular too and hasn't been approved yet. We filed for downgrade back on Oct 2020.

Thanks for the response. In our case, both the primary and secondary applicants received the biometrics request at the same time. Our biometrics were completed on April 16, 2021 and since then the status is fingerprints received.

It was a letter printed on a Yellow paper from the USCIS local field office (for me that is Philadelphia) and it was titled REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE asking for I-693.

Hi All,

I got RFE for medicals on 17th Sept and I have sent the medicals on 25th sept. Online status shows that 'RFE has been sent'. Similar status for my husband issued on the same date. But no letter has been received. It might be lost in the mail or whatever ( we are left guessing ) Can we not send his medicals ? The packet for his medicals is ready but on the RFE letter, it is mentioned that we are to send the RFE letter long with the signed medical I-693 form. Please advise. We want it to reach before 09/30 to be considered for this year's allotment.

Yes. My attorney opened up a case that my dependent did not receive biometric yet. I got a letter from USCIS acknowledging the case and it says biometric will be scheduled within 90 days. next day I received biometric notice for the dependent.
