Now I've a Change of Address by end of this month.

Question - Does USPS forward the USCIS notices, EAD letters etc.

Any who received EAD/AP Combo recently, please check if the top of the envelop has "Do not forward" or something like that ??

Any experience/feedback with the mail forwarding would be helpful. I will update address at USCIS as well.

      Thanks

The envelopes have nothing written on them about forwarding, The EAD comes in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope, tracked and insured. Since it is tracked, I don't know how it would be treated by the mail in a case where a forwarding request exists.

Does it really matter? As far as my understanding, EB1/2/3 or PD is only applicable for I-140 processing, after that what matters is the date of I-485/765 application/receipt!

              • We applied for my husband’s ead expedition 2 weeks ago since his work permit was expiring. Today, both our EADs approved. We saw “new card is being produced”

                EB-2 other countries
                application received by USCIS: 10/02/2020
                fingerprints : 03/05/2021
                NBC

At least a progress after months.

That's a challenge. Would the USPS Informed delivery report help in this case? It has scans for the mail coming in on that day but not sure how that works in case of forwarding.

Congratulations! When you say PD 09/23/2020 does that mean it is the date of application of I-485 or approval of EB3 I-140?

Approval of i-140. I485 notices received on oct 23, because thats when my pd became current.

                          • Sorry for jumping back on the address change discussion. Just wanted to share my experience. After submitting AR-11 form online I got emails that the request has been completed I called USCIS and found that address for my wife was updated but not for me.

It is extremely important to follow up and make sure that the request has been processed and new address is updated. It took me 3/4 phone calls and multiple online chats. One of the live chat agent actually created a new request for me which was processed same day.

I think my main learning is to keep trying with them. Sometimes they will say it can take upto 30 days for the address to be updated after the request has been processed but that makes no sense. My address was updated the next day. So, follow up after the request is processed and if address is not updated within 1-2 days then submit request again or ask the agent to create again.

yup, noticed that since last week..
that tells me last quarter will hopefully see more approval coming for GC and also for i-765 (whose PD is not current), keeping fingers crossed. I am hoping now USCIS is working on full strength.

Yes. I am tracking the same. If that really change the processing times? I am waiting for EAD for the last 12 months
