My case status turned to "New card being produced" for I-485. Does this mean GC being produced.

EB1B, PD:11/19, I-485/765/131 filed: 10/27/20 Recieved: 11/25/20, Biometrics 3/31/21, I-693 RFE 6/7/21, I-693 Submitted 6/24/21, Correspondence Received: 6/25/21, Seattle ASC

No change to EAD after biometrics No EAD combo.

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this community. I have a question -

While my I-485 and I-765 status' read that fingerprints have been applied to my case, my main application number (SRC<blank>) reads that my case was sent to Dept. of State for visa processing on 11/19/2020. Could I expect some guidance on what to expect?

Here are my particulars:
EB1C / India / Priority Date 8/20/2019 / I-140 approved on 10/28/2020 / I-485, I-765, I-131 submitted 10/29/2020, Fingerprint done 5/20/21.

Help and guidance would be greatly appreciated since I am trying to make a trip to India for family reasons, but can't afford the 14-day travel reservation currently in place.

As per my understanding, you may not be able to travel outside US without AP (I-131) approved. Please review with your attorneys and plan accordingly.

Congrats! Can I ask you if your RFE for medicals came from the Seattle Field Office or from the Service Center / NBC? Where did you have to send it back to?

Does changing address slow down the process? I update my address in mid-May and received email confirmation mid-Jun. I'm wondering if it is because of the updating address that affects my case.

I filed my I-485 along with Combo Card on Oct 2020, and is expecting to receive green cards next Monday!
I'm very excited about this and would like to share my time schedule with you all.
I guess what makes this process harder is that you cannot know where you are during the process.
I hope that my timeline could help you a bit in understanding the process and what you could expect.


EB2 (NIW, I-140 approved on July 2019)
Application mailed to: Dallas TX
RFE mailed to: US Dept of Homeland Security in KS
No Interview


Timeline for primary applicant:

-2020-

• Oct 5th: I-485, I-131, I-765 received by USCIS
• Nov 4th: Receipts via text
• Nov 5th: Check(cost) processed
• Nov 11th: Receipts via mail(only for I-131, others never arrived)

-2021-

• Apr 2nd: RFE received via mail for medical
• May 1st:Biometrics appointment notice received
• May 10th: RFE response delivered
• May 11st: Biometrics taken
• Jun 30th: EAD approved
• July 1st: "I-485 Card is being produced" on the website
• July 2nd: Green card approved
• July 3rd: EAD and SSN delivered by mail (but AP still not approved)
• July 6th: Green card mailed, yet to receive

▼▼The schedule was quite different for my spouse, and this was really annoying keep getting me to think that something got mixed up,
so I am sharing this schedule with you in case some of you are experiencing the same.

Timeline for derivative applicant: (spouse of the primary)

• Nov 4th: Receipts via text (this text was actually sent to primary applicant's phone, and mail receipt was never received)
• Nov 5th: Check(cost) processed
• Nov 16th: Biometrics appointment notice received
• Dec 2nd: Biometrics taken

-2021-

• Apr 2nd: RFE received via mail for medical
• May 10th: RFE response delivered
• Jun 25th: EAD and AP approved on website
• Jun 30th: EAD and AP approval letter received by mail
• July 1st: "I-485 Card is being produced" on the website
• July 2nd: Green card approved and Combo Card delivered by mail
• July 6th: Green card mailed, yet to receive

My I-765 status shows “New Card Is Being Produced”. (3 days ago)
How long does it take to mail it out?
I am planning to move out of this apartment by month end.

Also, my I-131 status has not changed for 264 days.
Does that mean, the card that’s being produced is just my EAD and not a combo card with Travel document?

Finally the wait is over for us. I hope you all get your cards soon. Reading your posts was a big relief during our stressful wait. We saw we’re many people in the same boat.
I guess oct filer will get their card soon. Try to bear for some more time.

So I find out something interesting today. It turns out updating the address does slow down your case. I moved from California to Florida in early of May and update my address with USCIS early May as well. I called USCIS today and they told me that my case has been transferred from FO in California back to NBC, and until now they have not yet transferred my case to FO in Florida yet. I think that is the reason why many many Oct filers have update last and this month but not me. Does anyone know what I should do in this case? Does medical RFE come out from NBC or local FO? Can I request NBC to transfer my case to my local FO?

RFE medicals came from Seattle FO and sent address is also Seattle FO.
