  • My case was filed in Oct 2020.
    Receipts received in Nov 2020.
My case status lookup shows that an RFE was issued on Feb 26, 2021.
    Anyone else received an RFE?
After providing evidence, how much more time does it take on average to process the requests?

When in Oct did you file your documents and did you send your medical exams. If not then it could be RFE for medical exams. Let everyone know in the group once you get the letter in the mail.

As for processing time, only a crystal ball can guess how long it takes but if its medical RFE I would consider it moving fast.

      • EB3 on Oct 21, '20.
Medical was not submitted at the time as the attorney said it's only required while I attend the interview.
Will keep you all posted about my progress.

Thanks. I just received the biometric appointment letter for March 16th. I have two questions:
              1. The letter says that no cell phones allowed. I will be traveling to the center in uber and need cell phone. Do they have locker system or any place to store cell phones?
              2. What documents I need to carry except IDs? If I carry extra documents Am I allowed to take them inside or I have to leave outside?

                Hey,

I took my cell phones inside. My ASC was Alexandria, VA. They don't ask you to keep them outside so my phone was with me all the time. I just didn't take it out anytime while I was inside the ASC. Also, other than ID you don't need anything else. Just the Biometrics letter. Make sure you fill out the form attached to it.

                Thanks

Thank you for the quick response and your suggestions. The letter specifically mentioned no cell phones allowed. I hope I will be allowed to carry it inside as well.

Mine was Philadelphia ASC and I was asked to switch off my cell phones. We can still carry them, just not use it inside the ASC.
You are allowed to take any documents with you inside; its just that your appointment letter, id proof (eg: Passport). The form enclosed need to be filled, which will be scanned and returned back to you.

You can file for an extension with IRS on filling the taxes. That will get you a date extension to October for tax filling dates. Please talk to your tax consultant and he can guide you. It’s a simple form.

                          • Hi. Does anyone here know what it means when your I-485 case is currently in transit to the Las Vegas Field Office? Upon inquiry with my case this is the email content that they gave. And allow 2 to 3 weeks shipping and handling before calling the local field office.

I just received my combo card today that they sent to my lawyer. I'm still waiting for my SSN.

The general application get filed to NBC (National Benefit Centre) and once they proof read, USCIS transfers the case to the independent field office based on location.

                              How did you inquire?

                                Letter received today.
As you suspected, the RFE is for i-693, Report of Medical Exam and Vaccination record to be send within the next 87 days.
