Adjustment of Status F-4 (245i)

Hello - I need some help. I am living in US, unlawfully, protected under 245i. I am a beneficiary of an approved F-4 category visa with current PD. Below are my questions;

1. What form/s do I need to fill to proceed?
2. What are the fees?
3. I would like to add my wife, who is also in unlawful status.
4. I am currently unemployed, can my wife be the sponsor for the affidavit of support, even though she in unlawfully employed?
5. Do I need a lawyer or the process can be done by myself only?

hi Daru786, So can you self sponsor for affidavit of support are someone other than the petitioner and his household member become a sponsor.

Yes to all. You can self sponsor if you've worked in US and have 40+ points on your social security statement.
Basically the owner of the affidavit of support becomes responsible for you till you become a US Citizen.

How old is your child? You will have to mention his/her name in the I-485 form. There is place where you have to mention names of your children and whether if they are applying with you or not. Also file a separate application package for him/her.

Look at /us-visa-and-immigration-forms/ You will be able to find all the required forms and instructions. As for how long, it may take more or less about a year.
