  • I-485 case under active examination

PD June 2009 and haven't received any updates. After multiple SR requests through our attorney received this response from USCIS - 'Based on your inquiry, we have reviewed the status of your case and found that it remains under active examination. This office acknowledges the completion of your case being outside of the normal processing time and realizes the inconvenience it may cause. The delay has been necessary in order to ensure thorough processing of your case. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a definitive timeframe at this point. USCIS will notify you if any further information is needed from you or when a decision has been made.'

Anyone in the same situation? Any suggestions on what to expect?

Haven't heard anything since 2016 and the case status in USCIS website still shows the status from 2016 - On February 9, 2016, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number SRC **** USCIS has begun working on your case again. We will send you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We have moved since then and also update the address. Not sure what's going on with our case while for most of the people around the same PD have either received an RFE or the GC itself. T

Received the same response after the inquiry. Any news on your case?

I see that the dates to make an inquiry retrogressed around 3 months for our case.
