New Alien number, already have one

Dear All
I received my NOA for my forms for AOS I 485, I 765, I 131. However I noticed they issued me a new uscis Alien number for all 3, when I already have one. I have submitted online inquiry and plan to call them monday. Anyone with similar situation and what was your experience. Is this going to impact the processing.

I have read a couple of times that a new A number is created in some cases. I think it happens sometimes if you get the A number for F1 visa OPT and then apply for I-485. From what I read, there is no impact on the I-485 process. Good luck.

Same thing happened to me. I had had an old A number from student visas. I immediately noticed when I got the first notice of action after we submitted the application last year. Called, put in an inquiry, and about 10 (!) months later got an official answer in the mail to my question-- that indeed the "correct" A number was the newly assigned one for the I-485. So I wouldn't freak out. But don't expect a quick response...
