  • Do I need to Update new employment info for marriage-based pending I-485??

    Hey guys!

Do I need to report/update employer information on my marriage-based green card application?. I was unemployed when I filed my 130/485/765. I recently received my EAD & got a job. DO I need to update or report the employer changes? If yes, does anyone know how? I tried googling, but most search results pertain to updating employers for employment-based green card applications.

    Thanks!

I have never read something about updating work status on a marriage based AOS, so I don't think you need to do it.

No, its not required. My brazilian wife was in the same situation. Unemployed and then received her EAD. We were approved for her GC with no problem.. after her interview

no need to update anything. However when you go in for your interview, you can bring proof of employment with you. It isn’t required but makes you look better. It shows you want to work and will not be a public charge.
