Primary I485 approved but Spouse case status does not show any updates. Is it normal?

Hi folks -

Hoping someone here can answer my question. I filed for Adjustment of status in May 2020 and yesterday my case status for I-485 updated to 'Case was approved'. I am thrilled that my journey for GC approval is finally coming to end. However I am little worried that there is no online update on my spouse case status. we filed AOS under employment based category (I am primary applicant). I thought my spouse application would be approved along with mine, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is it normal for dependents to get GC approval at later point? Kindly advise.

My spouse case status still shows as ' RFIE response received on October 8th. We will notify when a decision has been made.'

I have read several posts like yours, principal approved and dependent no change, so it is relatively common.

Did both get RFIE and both were received on October 8th?

From what I understand for EB cases, the primary applicant must be approved before the dependents. Sometimes they are approved on the same day but sometimes it takes longer (days or weeks).

Good to know that commonly the primary applicant is approved followed by the dependent petitions. Yes, we both received the RFE for medicals and we sent them together to USCIS in October. That's why I kind of got worried that only my application was approved.

This is very common and nothing to worry about. Mine is also EB category, and my EAD/AP was approved first and then I had to call and ask for my spouse's application, and they approved her's after couple of weeks.

Could I please know if your spouse application was approved and if so, how long after? I am also in the same boat. I am an EB2 applicant and we have sent all documents jointly. This week I received the card in production update status but not my husband. Any guidance would be very helpful here. Thank you!

For what I been seeing on forums it is common for that to happened .
I am on the same boat here.

This my situation my wife and I applied for adjustment of status with a family base petition (Son over 21 as a sponsor)

9/20/2019 file the petition
8/5/2020 EAD arrived for both of us.
10/6/2021 interview done for both of us.
RFE after interview
10/14/2021 We responded back
2/6/2022 card been produced
BUT ONLY RECEIVED A NOTICE FOR MY WIFE NOT Me
Is this normal?
Please let me know if anyone had this happened.
