Hi,
I have been looking for an answer to this question for a while. Here is a little background info:
My wife is currently in the US on H1B but lives in a different state from where I am (I got a job after college but in a different state). We have recently submitted our documents to USCIS and we are essentially just waiting around for to get a response from USCIS pertaining to our documents.
Here is my question. I would obvious want her to quit her job and move here. But if she does that , I think that means she forfeits her H1B. But since we already submitted our applications for AOS, does she really still need to keep her current job (H1B) in order to legally stay in the US? What point in the application waiting process can she legally quit her job and move to where I am living and find another job?
If anybody went through the same experience and has any suggestions, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
