It really depends on who's on the other side. I tried more than once before I was successful. That's also how I was able to get my interview scheduled right after my biometrics appointment. Keep trying if you don't want to wait. Eventually you will find an agent who is willing to help you. Good luck!

I am also thinking of doing the same. Just maybe scared, it might impact negatively. Do you think that can happen?

Hi again, still no biometrics appointment here..... question for the ones that expedited through EMMA, when asked for the case number which receipt case number do you give the I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131?? They all seem to have different processing times and when I have contacted EMMA I've been told to keep waiting.... If someone could help me out will be greatly appreciated, getting a bit anxious here since some filers already have EAD and on our side still no biometrics.... Thank you all

Hi everyone, I applied to expedite my EAD on May 3rd. I provided my I-765 receipt number.
I received an update on my receipt number May 4th that said "my expedite request received" - We are reviewing your request and will notify you if we need additional information.
Then on May 5th, I received an email from USCIS - "a receipt for my recent inquiry" saying my case is currently under review and I will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any idea on how long it normally takes for them to make a decision? Hoping and praying I get it approved soon.
Timeline:
12/18/20: My package was received at Chicago lockbox
01/11/21: I received four NOA receipts in the mail (online case number indicates my fingerprint fee check was cashed on 12/29/20)
02/05/21: I received biometrics letter in the mail for my upcoming appointment, which is scheduled for the end of this month (letter came from the NBC)
02/18/21: Biometrics appointment
04/09/21: I-485 receipt reads Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
05/03/21: Requested EAD to be expedited
