Hello all,
My first post here, but I have been gathering lots of answers from reading other replies. Thank you to everyone who has lived this process and posts!
To keep it simple-filling out the i-944 with my spouse (currently inside the US with me, entered as B2). He is an artist of gold/silver/stones/jewelry, and the materials in his workshop have high value. Of course, entering the US without the intention of marrying means that beyond his hard drive's photos of him working, his finished work, some photos of the workshop and raw materials, we have no proof of what these materials are worth.
He has one issued evaluation (done by a national artisan union) for just the machines and tools in his workshop, with a value of $28k. We are including this document. The materials however (metals and stones etc) are worth much more. How can I include this in our assets? Will they ask for proof immediately or at the interview? Because if the i-131 is granted he will go back to the workshop and could provide more evidence, but not before our submission...
Has anyone else declared material as part of assets? Like a mechanic, or carpenter, etc?
Thanks for the help!
