    Dear VSC I485ians,

After a long painful wait, Friday (08/03/01)evening I heard the sweet AVM message
"This case has been approved on August, 1st, 2001 ....blah .. blah..."
waiting for the Approval Notice. Called IIO 2 times, last time, around July 12th,
they said, they are waiting for my I-140 files from NVC as my I140 was approved
for CP. Lost patience when some of my friends with same RD of mine, got their approvals
one month ago. Anyway I am thru with this now. My wife's case also been approved.

I sincerely thank the "Immigrant support Network" board members for their tireless effort for the approval of
AC21 bill and for other Congressional campaigns for the betterment of our H1/L1
community. I would like to thank www.ImmiHelp.com, for its
wonderful website, fillable forms, materials on almost all the topics needed by a new immigrant.
Ofcourse I must thank our fellow members of this and other message boards for their valuble
contributions from LC stage onwards, I remember zsk of I140 board, myladoor, Oct2000,CIBA,
    and others of I485 forum.

    my case details: PD:03/99:ND:03/28/2000:FP:03/21/2001:EB2:No
    RFE:India:
Approved on 08/01/2001: total time taken for the GC is approx. 3
    years.

good luck to all other fellow waiters, your turn will come soon.

    thanks

    cp to AOS, any delay??

    Hey, Net,

Congratulations. I would like to have one question for you.

In you case, do you think CP-AOS cause any delay?
(i mean the delay from NVC to INS file transfer). If yes,
how much the delay would be? Would you please tell me
whether there is any strategy to mimimize the delay if any?

My case is opted for CP on I140, I may wanna do AOS also.

    Thanks a lot.

Re: cp to AOS, any delay??

It depends on your luck, the delay only happened to me, in my case I had to
wait 3 months with out knowing the reason for the wait while later ND's were
getting their approvals. My ND was 03/2000 and I got it only on 08/01/01 at
that time the official processing date moved to 10/01/2000, so do your math.
you can't do anything about the wait but just call IIO .
