  • Can I work as a real estate agent while I am waiting for my EAD?

I was able to get a real estate license without having my residency yet because it's not a requirement. I know a lot of non-residents with no work permit are working as realtors in my area, which the department of business allows. They are not directly employed, but via W-9, and are making a living from commission. You can also do that through an LLC. Would it risk my process if I choose to do that? I am currently waiting for my EAD but it might take long.

Usually, work is not allowed if you don't have an EAD or work visa. From what I read, people married to USC are the exception, some work and out of status are forgiven.

From what I understand to fill W-9 you need an SSN.

      1) Don’t work without the EAD.
      2) It could affect your case, though depends.
      3) Try requesting expedited processing on your EAD.

You can work, but it would be risky for you, especially when you move on and don't have enough friends to help you. I had the same experience as you and didn't know which could be the correct decision, so I started to ask the real estate company. They weren't so excited to hear my idea. Some companies just block my phone number. I don't know how now work there, but I accumulated a lot of experience and worked after receiving my EAD. But you already will see which is the best get out of the situation.

I think you should take the risk, because while you are waiting for EAD, you could have already made a couple of real estate transactions, or start accumulating your experience. For example, my brother sells real estate using the BRRRR method, which allows him to occupy a niche in the real estate market without any special risks. This method will help many people earn money, the main thing is to analyze the cheap real estate market and understand what investments need to be made in order to sell real estate profitably and more expensively. Real estate agents do the same, but they work as intermediaries for people who use this method.

I would not try to work without the EAD because you can get into lots of trouble this way. It’s better to wait and start your career legally. It was the same for me because I got a job offer from Mortgage Advisor Sunderland before I was eligible for legal work, and I made the right decision to wait. Some of my friends worked without EAD and had significant problems with the police. This company still waited for me and employed me after I got the employment authorization document. It is worth waiting because this way, you can start a legal career and not worry about the police.

In this situation, you choose between the possibility of quick earnings and official status. Maybe a paid internship option? It doesn't count as employment. Does anyone know?In this situation, you choose between the possibility of quick earnings and official status.

When I worked at the real estate company, it was impossible to work without EAD, so I do not know how you can work in your company and why it is allowed. This is illegal, and if they find out about you, you and your company will be issued a large fine. I do not know your whole situation, but I hope my little tips help you avoid problems. If you still have any questions about real estate work, then write to me in private chat, my friend. Good luck!

You will be able to work only after you get your EAD. Otherwise, you may have problems. I have been waiting for my EAD for months. I received several job offers, but I had to refuse them all. I also couldn't leave the country until I received this paper, so I had to spend a vacation with my husband in the US. I became a realtor a year ago and have had plenty of time to study the real estate market in America. So when I saw https://www.beachluxuryvacations.com...gement-company listed at vacation properties, I was sure it was one of the best options.

I've just stumbled upon your two-year-old post about working as a real estate agent while waiting for your EAD. It's great that you've obtained your real estate license even without residency status, and it's interesting to hear about others in your area who are working as realtors through alternative arrangements.
While I'm not an immigration expert, it's important to consider the potential risks involved in working without proper authorization. Engaging in employment without the necessary documentation could have consequences on your immigration process and the approval of your EAD.

That being said, obtaining a real estate license without having residency may be allowed in certain jurisdictions if it is not a specific requirement. However, the issue of working as a realtor without proper work authorization or a valid employment authorization document (EAD) could potentially raise concerns. Operating as a realtor through a W-9 or an LLC while waiting for your EAD might have legal implications. It's essential to comply with local laws and regulations regarding employment and immigration. Engaging in work activities without the proper authorization or documentation could potentially jeopardize your immigration process and future prospects. To ensure that you are operating within the legal boundaries, it is strongly recommended to consult an immigration attorney or a qualified professional who can provide guidance specific to your situation. They can advise you on the appropriate steps to take, the potential risks involved, and any alternative options that may be available to you while you wait for your EAD. Remember, it's crucial to adhere to the laws and regulations of the jurisdiction you are in to avoid any legal complications or negative consequences for your immigration status or future prospects.
