H1B extension received 3rd RFE while I485 pending

Hello ,

I have applied for i485 around end of October 2020 and received my receipts too . But my current visa is expired and the H1b extension got 3rd RFE.
1st Rfe was manager letter
2nd rfe payslips
3rd rfe again manager letter .
I’m yet to submit my 3rd RFe and have a couple of questions.

1. Has anyone ever received a 3rd RFE? What are the chances of getting approved? ( I didn’t have any changes in my details since last extension).

2. If the extension gets denied , what will happen to my pending i485? Can I still get my EAD and AP even if I go back to India ?
Please let me know if anyone has an idea.

This is solely my opinion and I would highly recommend you talk to an immigration attorney. DISCLAIMER.

1) Once you apply for I-485 stage and you have the receipts, you are considered in status until a decision is reached on the I-485 case.
2) I-485 stage is dependent on I-140 approval which I presume you already have. Also I-485 (green card) is considered for a future job. So in theory (again in-theory) you could very well have another company (company B) apply for your GC and you could be working on a H1-B with (company A). So in theory the I-485 should be independent of the current H1-B that you have.
Again good idea to consult an attorney.
3) You can work on EAD and travel to India on AP. For this you should have the AP in hand before commencing your journey out of the country (USA).

I haven't had any experience with 3rd RFE so I cannot gave any thoughts on that.
