          Hello
Is the deficiency letter as a form of RFIE ? I got an update on my case saying that they sent an RFIE but it doesnt say why, I will have to wait for the mail to find out.

My status online still remains "We received your fingerprint fee", so I don't think so.

              Hi Feb Filers,

I am on F1 Stem OPT and my current F1 EAD is expiring on 06/10/2021. My AOS status still says:
"Fingerprint Fee Was Received". No Biometrics!! No RFEs!! No I-693 letter!! so far.
              What are my options?
              • I have a stable job rn and working with my employer for over 2 years.
              • Is there any way I can expedite my EAD specifically?
I will highly appreciate your valuable suggestions thanks in advance!

NYVA hi, did you already use the F-1 STEM OPT extension?

alternatively, I would suggest reaching out to your US Senator and or congress person, they may be able to help you expedite your EAD.
You have not gotten the letter with your appointment for biometrics. If you had the letter, you could walk in but you don’t have it yet.

i think your best bet is to ask your US Senator to help you expedite. Call their office first and likely an intern will take your call, you’ll explain your situation and they will tell you how to proceed and what they need from you.

you May still need to send an email. The way to address a uS Senator is always “To the honorable US Senator Jose Perez”, by the way.

                all the best,

                USCFFS

!!Update!! on AOS Package, On F1 Married to USC; I485, I130, I765, I131 timeline:
Package delivered to USCIS, via FedEx to Chicago Lockbox 02/04/2021
                  Checks cashed and received texts, with receipt #MSC **** **** * 03/08/2021
                  4 NOA in mail, with receipt #MSC **** **** * 03/10/2021
Received I-693 Deficiency Notice in mailbox 05/18/2021
Thank you UScitizenFilingforspouse for your valuable inputs. I will definitely look forward to research more about reaching out to the Honorable US Senator/Congress Person.

I have a few more queries:
                  • I received I-693 deficiency notice today (05/18). Does that mean I am going to get notification on biometrics anytime soon? Apparantely, someone must have opened my application.
                  • Is there any source/links where I can find sample emails to send to the Honorable US Senator/Congress Person in regards to biometrics and EAD?
                  • If due to any unforseen circumstances, an expedite request get denied by USCIS. Does that affect your AOS application process?
                  Thank you!

NYVA Hi, yes, someone opened your application, of course.

You are on a very tight deadline here. You can google sample emails to US senators. I would not spend time on that. I would simply call your US senator's office and go from there. There are privacy release forms you need to fill out. Your communication with the US Senator's office does not need to elaborate. Just tell them exactly what you need from them and do it in a respectful manner.
If the request to expedite gets denied, that does not have any impact on your AOS application. Now, let's be realistic here. You are asking USCIS to expedite your EAD/AP. That involves running background checks. There is no way to tell how long those can take and there is no way to expedite them. They take however long they take. It likely helps that you have a STEM OPT EAD. Thus, USCIS has likely run background checks on you before. Does that help? Possibly. I do not know if the background checks they run for students are the same as the ones they run for AOS.

You can also just call USCIS and escalate your call and request to expedite with a Tier 2 officer/agent. That way you get that started while you reach out to your US Senator.

                    Best, USCFFS

NYVA hi, this person called USCIS, requested to expedite their EAD and it worked out just fine. Note that they also attempted to contact their congressperson but the congressperson's staff said they would not handle a duplicate request - meaning, if you call USCIS to expedite and you get the process started that way, the congressperson's staff would then wait at least 14 days to act on it.

Hi folks, I have visited this website several times while anxiously waiting for my EAD card. The posts are super helpful, here I would like to share my experience and timeline to pay back. Application: Greed Card EAD Approval I485 received date: 10/30/2020 Biometrics completed: 3/30/2021 Expedite Request filed via phone

Hi all, newcomer here. Hope to get insight on processing times, experiences, etc...

My personal summary: have work authorization through DACA, married to US citizen, submitted AOS Feb 21'. Qualify as derivative beneficiary through 245(i), clean record, good income, hoping my case is a smooth one.

Right now my DACA expires September 21', I am nearing the 120 renewal window to which I am contemplating. I received the I-765 notice that gives 180 day extension but there's no guarantee my case is approved. I am going to call USCIS for more information on how to go about the actual renewal since it's now a different category C33 vs C09, but would be glad to hear any opinions, thoughts on the matter. Thanks!
Will post update after contacting USCIS

I485 filed in Feb, receipt in mid-March. But still no biometrics date? Should I be concerned?

I've also heard a rumor that they have started using CBP or previous embassy visits for fingerprints? Is that true?

Based on other filers, most who applied in Feb haven't received their Biometric appointment. Infact those who applied in Oct'20 got biometric appointments last month. So we should be concerned if we don't get it by August.

No idea about your second question
