8/05/2021: Biometric Appointment

Quite a few updates here:

My original biometrics was scheduled for 8/2, but due to my mother being admitted to a hospital back home with a severe COVID case, I was able to do an early walk-in for biometrics on 7/24. I then expedited both I-131 and I-765 (I also had an outstanding job offer).

8/3 - Case is Ready to be scheduled for an interview
8/8 - New Card is being produced
8/9 - Case was approved
8/12 - Card was mailed to me
8/16 - Combo card in hand

There is some indication that lower risk employment and immediate family applications do not, at present, require an interview. Anybody know anything about this?
