Hi,
My work authorization expired on 2006. Then I could not renew because my I-140 was denied.

After that I filed a new case and I got my I-140 approved in 2008. So is it possible for me to file for work authorization.

Only after you file I-485, or concurrently with filing of I-485. That can happen only if your priority date is current.
