i-485 receipt date vs i-140 PD

Friends,

Is the i-485 application processed as per the underlying PD on the i-140 ? OR the 140 PD is irrelevant once it is approved ?

my i-140 PD is Sept 2020 and 485 was filed in Oct 2020.

Not seeing any movement whatsoever on the application status.

From what I understand https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ is based on the I485 date and not the other required form (I140, I130, I360, etc.)

The required form date is useful to know if you can apply for AOS (submit I-485) and to know if an immigrant visa is available for your category. If your category is always current, then the I140 date has no weight on your process.
