We paid an immigration attorney to ensure everything was done correctly...and yet....nothing happening.
    is your case employment base?

            March 3rd, 2021 my I-140, I-131, I-485, and I-765 were received.
March 10, 2021 I-140 was approved (it was expedited).
October 4, 2021 Biometrics were taken.
October 5, 2021 Biometrics were added to I-485 and I-765.
            Update on 03/17:
Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction

I haven't received the letter to see why they moved my case, but does anyone know why they transfer cases and what does that do with the timeline?

            • They will send you a letter explaining why, but in my case it was "to speed up processing"...

What is annoying is that despite the transfer to speed up my application....I'm still waiting...and yet my colleague (same category, same process) has just received notification that his GC is being produced and he submitted his application 4 months after me!!....makes no sense at all

Was your colleagues case processed in the same service center as yours?

It was transferred to National Benefits Center in order to speed up processing!!!!!! The address is Lee's Summit Missouri! but when I check the processing time, the benefit center doesn't exist!

It is good that your case is transferred TO National Benefits Center as the processing there is much faster. Depending on whether your case is family based or employment based, it will either get sent to the local field office for scheduling interview or a GC issued directly by NBC in case of Employment based cases where the interviews are typically waived in the current scenario.

In most cases I have seen the transfer happening from NBC to a USCIS service center, mostly because the case is pending I140 approval which is being in processed in the USCIS service center to which the 485 case is being transferred.

All the best. I believe you should see a progress in your case very soon. If your case is documentarily complete, I mean if it is EB and you have already submitted the medicals, etc, I expect that your GC will be directly issued in the next few weeks.

Twisted pixel... Yours is a peculiar case though where the case you transferred from NBC to Nebraska but when your I140 was not pending. This, I'm not able to comprehend but in case of Tina, the case moving TO NBC, I strongly believe is really to speed up the case. Hopefully your case gets transferred back to NBC and you get a decision soon.

Saying this, I have a thought. With your original receipt number being MSC, why can't you ask Emma what is the processing time for MSC and then raise a service request that your case is outside processing times? May be they will consider expediting your case? Try it. Nothing to lose.

                            • True, but it's still well within the case processing time that they post (current services request time is August 2020). I just have to be patient...it just makes no sense that my case has been sitting idle longer than the entire process for someone else.

No, do you know if it is still within case processing time for NBC (MSC location)? I doubt it is because they are moving at express pace. I believe you are looking at the processing times for Nebraska location where you application is sitting currently. Do you know where you can see what is the processing time for NBC location?
