I485 interview with open case and diversion CIMT
Hi everyone!
I and my wife got married in July of 2020, our interview is scheduled for April 125h BUT... a month ago I run into some trouble with the law and got arrested for shoplifting for $150 (from Macy’s.) I got arrested and booked. I am really Not sure still why I did what I did but I certainly been to hell and back for the last month or so.
Judge and prosecutors agreed on the diversion program here in Ohio. My first ever arrest and charge, never had any problems in the past. It is under CIMT but maximum penalty is 6 months of jail which would put me into exception.
Has anyone had any experience with interviews while on diversion or having such a thing? I am really worried about everything. I have a criminal and imm attorney but I literally cant sleep how stressful I am. What should we expect from the interview? How likely will I get denied?
Any advice would be very very helpful!
