Atlanta USCIS I485 interview - "case under review"
Hi everyone - me and my husband (US Citizen) had our marriage based greencard interview on 2/15 in Atlanta. This after a year long wait cuz our interview in March 2020 got canceled due to Covid.
The interview was held thru video on an iPad but the interviewer was very friendly and nice. We also thought it went well as we were able to answer most of the questions (except one about knowing each others' parents birth dates) so felt positive.
He also didn't take any documents from us outside of what he told us "we thought were relevant" right before we began interview. This was weird in retrospect because I feel they should have taken / asked for more documents if they had any concerns or open questions.
They told us that the case will be reviewed and we gotta wait until 30 days. Just wondering if that's normal cuz I am on a group where 4-5 people have already got their case decision and they interviewed same day or later than us. Only one other person who interviewed with the same officer incidentally hasn't heard back for 5 weeks either.
It will also be frustrating if we end up getting a RFE and did have all the documentation ready on the interview date.
How long has been your typical wait in Atlanta over the last one year? It's almost 30 days & it makes me more worried every passing day with everybody else getting same day approvals. Maybe that's just an unrealistic expectation cuz I do also realize they are overwhelmed and under staffed.
