Sponsor questions for Adjustment of Status Application

Hello,

I am filling adjust of Status application as an Immediate relative (Spouse) of US citizen.

For Sponsorship form (i-864), my other relative is sponsoring since my spouse didn’t have enough income. My other relative’s income is sufficient to meet the income criteria. In that case, do my spouse still need to file i-864 form? Or i only need to submit i-864 from my relative?

Please suggest!

Yes, the petitioner always need to submit an I-864, even if their income is insufficient. If you are using a joint sponsor, the the joint sponsor submits a second I-864.

I have one more question, my joint sponsor is married and is filling the joint tax return. Income on part 1 of the tax return is joint. I-864 ask to provide the federal income tax. Should i have to mention the joint income the same as in the tax return?
