  • Filling 1 30 form question about address history

    Hi everyone,
We are trying to complete our package but are not sure about form 130 and the address history! My US citizen husband has total of 4 addresses for the last 5 years!
    My issue:
Question 10a form 130 is asking for the mailing address and then ask to check yes if the mailing address is same at the current physical address (in our case is the same so we check yes). Moving on to the next question : Address History 12a reads: "Provide your physical addresses for the last five years, whether inside or outside the United States." Provide your current address first if different than mailing address! Ours is the same so I am assuming we should either leave blank or enter one of the previous addresses since ask for the 5 year . However when i select mailing address is same as residence address it blocks out address #2. We have 4 addresses in the last five years, since form is asking for previous addresses over the last 5 years.. how do i fill out the form? address #2 looks to be only if mailing is different from residence.
    My question:
Do I leave it blank? Do I type manually?

Any help and input is appreciated !

I don't get it. Do you mean that when you click YES on #11, it blocks Physical Address 2 portion (12a - 13b) ?
It should not happen but even lets says it is blocking you from entering in the PDF digitally, you can always print out the page and write with a pen if you are mailing the form.
If you are filing online, you can use Part 9 - Additional Information page to fill out the previous addresses for the last 5 years.

Physical Address 1 and Physical address 2 are for adding your previous addresses that would total the living of last 5 years. They are saying if your current address is not same as your mailing then START WITH current first but if it is same then START WITH the previous address. In either of the case, you do not leave it blank and to enter more addresses use Part 9 - Additional Information

If your physical address ad mailing address is the same, then selecting yes on the Form I-130 blocks out the mailing address to prevent you from entering any data into those fields.

With respect to address history, you should simply follow the instructions and enter your address history for the last five years. Since your physical and mailing address is the same, you may begin with your spouse's previous address. Make sure to enter the most recent information first.

If needed, use a separate sheet of paper in a simple and digestible format.

Thank you both for your responses. I have read the instructions and I am aware how to write my past address history and that additional space is let in part 9 ( if still not enough write on piece of paper). My question was about the part that comes out right after the current address. I have done a research and keep getting conflicting answers. Even these two responses one says fill the next recent and the other one say leave blank. I just dont want to cost confusion but I will probably leave it blank.
