Expediting EAD/AP

I am on a F1 visa expiring May 31, 2021. All this while I have been employed by the university and my contract will be terminated at the end of May. I filed I485 in Oct 2020 from Orange County, CA and based on the delay that I hear, I expect my biometrics not before September 2021.

I am thinking of trying for Expedition of EAD based on financial hardship. Would that affect my case on the I864/I944 when they are processing GC or should that be fine?

From what I understand the expedite request is handled on its own. You must provide proof with all the required documents.

I had a conversation with USCIS on this. They can expedite cases only after fingerprinting. Before fingerprinting, only some specific cases can be expedited. (wanted to update everyone on this). Goodluck.
