Hey Everyone,
So my situation is as follows:
12/14/2019 - Filed I-485 and I-765
January - Biometrics taken for both I-485 and I-765
03/16/2020 - I-485 case status changed to "Ready to schedule interview"
05/12/2020 - Received EAD
02/20/2021 - Sent EAD Renewal
02/25/2021 - EAD Renewal received by USCIS
03/25/2021 - Received EAD Renewal Receipt - Spoke to USCIS who verified that I had an automatic 180 day extension from my expiration date.
04/09/2021 - Received a call from USCIS after I requested a call back in regards to my I-485 status. I was advised that as my closest field office in Seattle has been closed for most of 2020 due to Covid-19 interviews have been delayed. I was also advised that my file is at the National Benefits Center and is awaiting to be sent to my closest field office to schedule an interview.
I have my fingers crossed that I will receive an interview date before November and don't have to worry about refiling my EAD. I've noticed various other people in this forum have similar timeframes to mine and have had interviews and been approved. I also have noted that people who have filed in 2020 have already had interviews and been approved.
I guess my question is, is it really a matter of "any day now" for my interview or should I be seriously concerned that something has happened. I'm still within normal processing time so USCIS won't do anything.
Any advice or feedback any can offer would be amazing.
